Humboldt Park Admission and Registration

Admission at Wright

H.P.V.E.C. has an open-admission policy and welcomes:

  • Graduates of accredited high schools.
  • Students who have earned General Education Development (GED) Certificates.
  • Transfer students from other colleges and universities.
  • Students 18 or older who have not completed high school but meet certain requirements for entrance into a program.
  • Students 16-17 who have been officially released from their high schools.
  • Students 16 years or older who need to improve their basic skills in reading, writing, math, and/or who are limited in English proficiency (LEP).

Admission to the center does not ensure entrance into a particular course or program of study. If space is not available, H.P.V.E.C. is entitled to apply selective admission procedures in order to give priority to the residents of the city of Chicago.
