STUDENT SERVICES

Academic Advisement
All new H.P.V.E.C. students may seek academic advisement from an advisor. Advisors will assist students with course selection and career planning, and they will familiarize new students with other counseling, tutoring, career guidance, and job placement resources.

Disability Access Center
The Disability Access Center provides support services to students with documented disabilities. Based on the documentation received and the individual needs of the student, reasonable accommodations are determined. These accommodations ensure that the student, who is otherwise qualified, receives equal access to all of the College’s programs, activities and services.

To request information and services, please call (773) 481-8016 or visit the Disability Access Center in room L135 at the main campus (4300 N. Narragansett Ave. Chicago, IL 60634). Students with disabilities who are anticipating enrollment at Wright College and may need accommodations should contact the Disability Access Center prior to placement testing and admission.

Health Services
All students have access to first aid and emergency care.

Job Referral
Students may be assisted by the Job Development staff while seeking employment upon completion of their training programs. The Job Development staff provides students with listings of part-time or full-time employment opportunities, career workshops, pre-employment skills workshops and seminars, employers seminars and direct referrals. Students who are referred to the Job Development staff should be on scheduled progress (with a minimum grade point average of 2.0). The Job Development staff will assist students in developing a credentials file which includes an updated resume and letters of recommendation. Direct referrals will be provided taking into consideration students work experiences as well as the vocational training programs in which they are enrolled.
