CREDIT/ACADEMIC This program is for students wishing to earn a two-year associate degree that will either transfer to a four-year college or university or prepare them for a career. Truman offers transferable associate degrees in the arts (AA), the sciences (AS), in pre-engineering (AES), in fine arts (AFA) or in teaching (AAT). The associate in applied science degree (AAS) prepares you for such careers as Nursing and Biotechnology. Students returning to college or those who already have a degree may also take college credit classes.

ADULT EDUCATION The Adult Education Division offers free English as a Second Language (ESL) courses, basic literacy and math skills (ABE), preparation for the high school equivalency (GED) exam in English and Spanish, and preparation for the U.S. Citizenship Exam.

CONTINUING EDUCATION The Continuing Education Division offers short-term certificate programs and individual classes for students who want to improve their skills or start a new career. Leisure, personal enrichment, self or professional development classes are also available. Classes last from seven to sixteen weeks and are available days, evenings, and weekends.
