The Transfer Option:
From Wright College to a Four-Year University
Wright’s transfer-oriented degrees include: an Associate in Arts (AA), an Associate in Science (AS), an Associate in Engineering Science (AES), an Associate in Fine Arts (AFA), and an Associates in General Studies (AGS). These parallel the first two years of study at a four year college or university.
Since requirements vary from one university to another, student should consult with the university they wish to transfer to and/or a college advisor to see which degree program best meets their needs. Four year articulation information can also been obtained in the Transfer Center, Room A120, or through the Illinois Articulation Initiative by accessing the website
http://www.iTransfer.org.
Wright is a participant in the Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI) which will allow undecided students to fulfill both the General Education curriculum and courses in an IAI Major which will transfer to participating baccalaureate degree institutions.
To keep track of your progress towards completing a degree, fill out a transfer planning worksheet using the IAI website or visit an advisor in Room A120 of the Admissions office.
Wright College and the City Colleges of Chicago have instituted Dual Admissions Agreements and formal Articulation Agreements with various universities to make the Transfer process simpler. |
