In keeping with the mission of Wright College and its General Education objectives, the mission of the Social Science Department is to improve the life of our students by helping them to clearly recognize and understand the rapidly changing world in which we live and to simultaneously increase their ability to cope with it.
| Goals |
The scope of our department encompasses the methods, principles, theories and concepts from anthropology, economics, geography, history, political science, psychology, sociology and criminal justice. Each discipline’s goals are to encourage students to view the social world through diverse lenses and to promote tolerance and understanding within a global society.
