Common Obstacles students may face when trying to use web-enhancements.

1. No email address.

All CCC students have a XXXXXXXXXXX@student.ccc.edu account.

2. No experience with computers.

There are also links that teach computer literacy:

3. Objection to using the computer.

This website is an enhancement to the course

• it can provide further information on topics of interest
• it allows further discussions that are limited by time
• provides a repository for class information

Computers are used in almost every job.

4. If you are trying and is not able to use the computer.

Consult the Office of Special Needs. We can accomodate some problems such as small type (we can make large screen computers available for the visually impaired), problems with the mouse (we can try a track ball or teach keyboard commands to students), ergonomic considerations (there are wrist supports, special keyboards, even special chairs that we could make available to those with serious needs).

If you cannot assist them then have students email the Wright College webmaster and describe the problem in detail: time, location, browser...

Because this is a pilot program for our college please keep the webmaster informed of any obstacles not mentioned here and they will be added to the list.
