About TRiO:
TRiO originally started out as three different programs mandated by Congress
under the Higher Education Act of 1965. Student Support Services is one
of the three original TRiO programs and is designed to break social and class
barriers, promote cultural enrichment and help college students complete their
associates degree and transfer to a 4 year institution.
 
Eligibility:
All participants must be a resident of the United States
and fit a least one of the three categories below.
 

•Low income
(According to the Federal Low Income Levels) - view chart below

•First generation college student
(Neither parent has completed college from a four-year institution)

•Have a documented physical or mental disability
